They announced tonight that the 3000th US troop has been killed in Iraq and he was from Ft. Richardson, Alaska. I work on Ft Rich as a civilian contractor, I eat in the mess hall with them, talk to them everyday and I saw about 4,000 of these kids ship out back in October. I think about them all the time, be safe GIs.

Yeah, one of them from Ft Rich was the son of someone here at eielson. It touches everyone. We have lost quite a few from Ft wainwright up here as well. Be safe.

Ft Carson here in Colorado Springs lost one last week and on the same day his son was born. I heard the AF lost three EOD troops yesterday but no word on which bases they were from.
